Det leservennlige biblioteket

We are delighted that The Reader-friendly Library Service has been translated into Bokmål and copies given to every Norwegian public library service. This project started as a collaboration between ABM-utvikling and Bilioteksentralen and the book was then published and distributed by the National Library. Kristin Lande, as the Norwegian editor, worked closely with Rachel Van Riel to explore cultural differences between UK and Norwegian libraries and to add the Norwegian context and the book was translated by Ragnhild Engetrøen.

Copies can be obtained from Eva Haga Rogneflåten at the National Library:

This fun-not-study approach was written by Rachel Van Riel and Olive Fowler to help readers explore their own reading habits and support them in trying something new.
