Ownership of goods

Damaged goods and claims

Standard delivery is 4-6 weeks. Delivery dates quoted are approximate and Opening the Book Furniture Ltd cannot be held liable for any delay in delivery of goods. We do not charge for delivery within mainland UK – all of our prices include this. For overseas and urgent orders please contact us for prices.
Items damaged in transit may be returned without charge provided the damage is reported within 5 working days of receipt of goods. If any items are shipped incorrectly or wrongly ordered email email@example.com within 10 working days to arrange return.

All goods must be returned in pristine condition in the original packaging. We reserve the right to withhold full credit if any goods are received back without their original packaging or in a condition unfit for re-sale. A collection charge will be applied for non–faulty goods.
Goods are covered by a five-year warranty for defects in materials and workmanship. The invoice is your certificate of warranty and the invoice number must be included when submitting a warranty claim. We will repair or replace any product, part or component which fails under normal use.

Number of places
You agree to buy the number of learner places specified on your invoice.
There is no time limit on when these places are activated within 1 year of payment but once you enter an individual’s details online that place is deemed to have been used and cannot be transferred to anyone else. Entering an individual’s details will automatically generate their login and password.
Only mentors trained and approved by Opening the Book can mentor other learners on our courses.
You are granted unlimited access to the products you have purchased and these are available 24/7/365 except for scheduled maintenance and repairs or interruption of service beyond our control. We aim for 99.9% uptime but this cannot be guaranteed.
We reserve the right to terminate without notice anyone found to be sharing login details and passwords outside the packages paid for. If Opening the Book terminates your account, you do not have the right to use the material purchased from us.
You are responsible for ensuring any computer you use to access the course complies with the technical requirements specified by Opening the Book.
