The Garden

by Elsie V Aidinoff

The story of the Garden of Eden as seen from Eve's perspective. Whatever your views on the creation myth, God or gods, you will find this thought-provoking and even quite funny in places. This is a morally complicated novel in which Eve asks the eternal questions about Good and Evil, and a God who made Eden and then allowed suffering and death.

'Now,' continued God. 'This is all you have to remember: Evil is disobeying God. I am God, and I say to you: Do not eat the fruit of this tree, the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. If you do you will surely die!' God leaned back on his heels, crossed his arms, and glared at us. Behind him the tree shimmered in the sun.
