Unless you're really into computer programming there may be bits of this that you skip over, but there is plenty of traditional thriller action and the plot shifts satisfactorily as we slide between a slightly warped 'normal' world of work and family problems and a seriously bizarre virtual world.

So here I was in a cyber space ant crack. Beyond the wary pissants floated an odd, drifting piece of geometry, an 'impossible' self-reversing figure of the type that graphic hackers call fnoor ....

My ant leapt right onto the piece of fnoor .... Now we were inside the fnoor and ants were everywhere. We were in an anthill.
