Spring

by David Szalay

The tempestuous love affair that plays out between James and Katherine is in turns exquisite and painful. The presence of both the male and female perspective gave me a deeper understanding of the raw emotions experienced on both sides; lending, in turn, an intimacy to this beautifully crafted tale as it sensitively tackles the complexities of the human heart.
