Seen something that shouldn’t be here?

On a website where people are invited to give their open and honest opinions about anything, there is bound to be something others don’t agree with. This is one of the joys of the experience – finding opinions you don’t agree with and having the chance to express an alternative viewpoint.

www.reader2reader.net gives the chance to everybody to have their say and those opinions will remain uncensored by the site editors unless they are considered to be offensive.

This site aims to give the power of monitoring content to its users so there is a system which allows you to flag any entry you believe should be cleared from the site.

Clicking on the ‘Alert us’ link beside any entry will automatically inform the site editors that there is a problem. The entry will be reviewed within 24 hours and, if necessary, removed.

No entry will be removed if it is deemed to be voicing an opinion which is valid and relevant. If the entry is flagged by other site users, the position will be reviewed.

If swear words appear on the site in a contribution, the site editors will decide whether it is in context or not. If it is deemed to be inappropriate, it will be removed.

During ‘live chat’ sessions, the chat room will be hosted by a site editor. The host will remove any contributions that do not pertain to the subject under discussion or that give offence to users. The Open page discussion board will rely on users to notify site editors if any unacceptable messages are posted.

The site is principally designed to interest adult readers but children are welcome. We recommend that their use of the chat area is supervised by adults.

Material which is not acceptable on this site includes anything which is unlawful, threatening, libellous, defamatory, obscene, profane, racist, homophobic or sexist. Spam messages selling or promoting products or services are also unwelcome on this site.
