Notes from an Exhibition

by Patrick Gale

Each chapter dealt with a particular episode in the life of a family, but the episodes were not in sequential order. Once you got used to the flitting backwards and forwards in time, the book became more and more absorbing, as you realised that another missing detail had been explained.
