Chocolat

by Joanne Harris

Slightly magical with luscious descriptions of chocolate. I like how it is set in a small French community.

Don't bother watching the film (only for Johnny Depp!) read the book instead. Rich characterisations and luscious descriptive text will leave you wanting more. Luckily, there is a sequel 'The Lollipop Shoes' for those who aren't feeling quite ready to leave Vianne and Anouk's world at the end of the book.
