The Hobbit

by JR Tolkien

I read this book ages ago and didn't really enjoy it, even though I love the Lord of the Rings and have read them several times. Short of something to read I picked it up again last week and "wow"! I must have been distracted the first time round, because I raced through it, full of suspense and humour, Bilbo really jumped off the pages at me.

Will I ever dare pick it up again, it might spoil it?

An all time favourite whatever your age. Full of suspense and excitement, a must read.
The thought of reading 'Lord of the Rings' can seem daunting to many people, judging by some of the comments on frontline. I would recommend those people start with 'The Hobbit'. As I remember, it certainly is captivating and after seeing Jan's review, I intend to read it again.
This Book is amazing the symbolism. Great story all around
