The Secret Life of Bees

by Sue Monk Kidd

I was given this by a friend but didn't know anything about it or what to expect. I found it a wonderful read, very different well written. It's funny sad and has some quirky characters and also gives an insight into racial tension in South Carolina. I could picture everybody so vividly - it would make a great film as well although I wouldn't wait - get reading!
I've recommended it to 2 people since they've both really enjoyed it.
