A Very Private Murder

by Stuart Pawson

The latest Charlie Priest mystery. I had to wait ages for this book but it did not disappoint. I've loved Charlie since I was given The Picasso Scam by a friend. He's an interesting detective and this story is one of his best. Full of twists and turns, dry humour, great characters and settings.

Living in Scotland but brought up in Yorkshire and having done a lot of walking in the Lake District , I read the book but hear the familiar accents and recognise the landscape. I couldn't put it down, it made me long for a visit to Keswick and a goulash at the Dog & Gun.
