Labyrinth

by Kate Mosse

I have read some very negative reviews of this book, so I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed it so much.
When I'm travelling I like to read books set in the area I am visiting. This really gave me a sense of the history of Carcassone and the characters really came to life in the ancient city. I also enjoy 'time switch' books comparing life hundreds of years ago with the present day. People today aren't so very different from their ancestors. A clever book, well researched combining history with a gripping story.
