Wesley: The story of a remarkable owl

by Stacey O'Brien

This book gives an unprecedented look into the life of a Barn Owl. It is written by a biologist who was working at Caltech who adopts a baby owl who has some nerve damage to his wing which means he could never be released to the wild.
"Wesley" lives along side this person living in her bedroom and eveywhere she goes for 17 years.
If like me you have occasionally glimpsed an owl and wondered about how they live this an amazing book with a most privileged insight into their lives.
A most fascinating book to travel with as wherever you put it down or take up the story again it will weave a gentle seduction as you follow Wesley's life story.
