The Girl Who Played With Fire

by Stieg Larsson

I was enthralled by the first book "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" but this was so much better, I couldn't bear to stop reading.

Lisbeth Salander is such a great character, I hesitate to use heroine, she's intelligent, intriguing, violent and fearless. The plot is full of twists and turns but somehow it all makes sense. Brilliant, I can't wait for the next one.

I must admit I was a bit amazed that so many people found these books to be so good, so a wicked part of me thought that people were just saying it for the sake of it. I was wrong I found the books to be amazing they held your attention and you felt that you did not want to be interrupted . I await with baited breath for the next series. The funny part is that people of all ages liked these books young and old alike. I haven't actually heard anything negative about them. You normally get one person moaning, but alas no that does not appear to be the case.

The best trilogy I have ever read. I haven't found anyone who hasn't enjoyed them. Tragedy that there will be no more. Where to go now.....

I have just started the third book, what a dilemma, do I read it straight off or stretch it out knowing that a treat awaits me.!! Absolutely brilliant books, addictive, excitingand pleasurable.
I have read the first two books and I am just about to start the third book in the triology, so enjoyable certainly a 'can't put down' read. Just been to see the film based on the first book & that didn't disappoint either.
Three of the best books I have read in years, great plots and story lines, intellectual but you get it!
I am currently reading the 3rd book of the trilolgy and I dread finishing it because I know the story must end now. All three books were fantastic!
Just finished the 3rd book, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest - I am bereft! It was amazing, I may have to read all 3 again. Lisbeth Salander rules OK!
Having read all three books now I believe the whole is even greater than the sum of the parts. It is very consistent in its story-telling and the author would have had a great future.
I totally agree. The first book "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" is great, the second book "The Girl Who Played With Fire" is even better and the third (which I have read in Swedish" is an absolut must. If you havenĀ“t read them you have something to look forward to - look out for the Millenium Triology. You really take to Lisbeth Salander, the asocial punk who has been victimized by authorities throughout her whole life and also to Michael Nyqvist, a reporter writing for the magazine Millennium
