The House on the Strand

by Daphne Du Maurier

If you have a love of Cornwall mixed with a dash of historical romance, shaken and stirred with a little drop of science fiction then this book is for you.

I am a Daphne Du Maurier fan and I love them all but this one I read more than any of the others and every time it keeps me reading right to the end.

I have read this book again and again, having read it for the first time in the 70's. What a fantastic story. I wish she had written more like this one but as Sara said, she was way ahead of her time.

Couldn't agree with you more. Brilliant, imaginative writer. I also love Cornwall and know it quite well. I can visualise the areas.

I agree! This is one of my all time favourite books & definitely my favourite Du Maurier book. She was way ahead of her time. Very different and unusual.

This is my all time favourite book. I am a great Daphne Du Maurier fan and this is by far my favourite. Helps that it is set in Cornwall and that I can visualise the area.
