The Name of the Rose

by Umberto Eco

Utterly boring. Incomprehensible twaddle. However it was a fantastic film, starring Sean Connery.

As a librarian, I am rather intrigued by the notion that books can only be lent to readers deemed worthy enough to touch them....everyone else gets poisoned :))
Have to disagree with this! I enjoyed the book by missing out the long chunks of cod Latin and just focusing on the main parts of the text which moved the story along. Beats Dan Brown any day!!
