Across the nightingale floor

by Lian Hearn

This is a trilogy of books set in a ficitional ancient Japan. It follows a boy finding his place inbetween the Otori clan and the mysterious Tribe. These books had it all, adventure, action, war, love, history mixed together with just an element of fantasy. So exciting I couldn't put them down, also not shy to shock. She has also written a sequel and a prequel both equally fantastic.

I read this book, and was so engrossed in it, I could hardly put it down. The description in it is so beautiful , you can almost picture yourself there. It is exciting aswell, with a bit of gore, and I was so happy when I found out there were more books to follow which is why I love series of books; I never want the story to end!
I have read the first of these books and really enjoyed it. I'm looking foreward to reading the next 1. I would recommend this author to anyone.

I have read the first 2 books in this series and found them rivetting. I have recomended them to teenagers and adults alike.
