Effective Outreach Projects

This course takes individuals, pairs or groups of staff through the planning, preparation, management and evaluation of a small outreach project to reach readers outside the library or online. Real life examples of tried and tested projects provide a guide and starting point. Trainees design their own project to suit their local priorities and a clear 12-week structure supports them in carrying it out. Trainees share their learning in ways that will benefit the library service, reach new readers and build skills and confidence to use in future outreach work.

To use this course, you need a current Frontline subscription and a Co-ordinator in place. The Co-ordinator needs to read through the course but does not have to undertake it for Trainees to do so. Trainees do not need to have completed Frontline to undertake this course, it stands alone.

Subscription fees are annual, start in April and September in each year and are graduated in relation to the size of the library service. In the UK they range from £275 to £1200 for unlimited access. Please contact us for a quote.
