Browsers into Borrowers

This 4 module course shows how building simple but effective merchandising approaches into daily routines will help get books issued. It's especially useful for libraries introducing self-service where staff are spending less time behind counters. The course helps frontline staff build confidence in promoting all kinds of stock in any library situation. Where Frontline New Edition concentrates on adult fiction, Browsers into borrowers explores non-fiction, large print, children's and teenage books and DVDs, developing skills across the whole range.

To use this course, you need a current Frontline subscription and a Co-ordinator in place. The Co-ordinator needs to read through the course but does not have to undertake it for Trainees to do so. Trainees must have completed the Frontline short course (Modules 1-4) to undertake the course.

Subscription fees are annual, start in April and September in each year and are graduated in relation to the size of the library service. In the UK they range from £185 to £800 for unlimited access. Please contact us for a quote.
