Opening the Book gives Morpeth the kiss of life

Morpeth - before
After last September’s disastrous flooding in the North East, Morpeth library was under threat of demolition, having suffered more than £500,000 worth of damage. However, after several months of construction work, Opening the Book moved in to refurbish the interior in record time with the library re-opening to the public in March.

Morpeth - revitalised
The opening was covered by the regional tv news and press. Click here to view Look North feature on BBC website: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7973216.stm
