Opening the Book worked with Rotherham MBC Libraries to transform Mowbray Gardens public library into a light, contemporary community space.

Book display units being built in children's area
The reconstruction of the old library involved demolishing the attached public swimming baths and creating a new extension which mirrors the octagonal shape of the existing library space. The library opened with a special launch event on 2 July, featuring Benjamin Zephaniah.
