The OC

The OC

If you can't get enough of the residents of Newport Beach, then why not read these books about the current events.

O’Connor, Martha ‘The Bitch Goddess Notebook’

After shooting Ryan’s brother, Trey, Marissa’s friends have the huge burden of protecting their friend and keeping her grave secret. This book reveals the damaging consequences such a dark secret can have on friendships.  Will this happen to the Newport gang? Only time will tell.

Frey, J. ‘A million little pieces’

This book follows the emotional journey of the 23-year-old author’s battle against drug and alcohol abuse whilst in the Minnesota drug treatment centre. This rage-fuelled memoir not only has the ability to make you cry but also laugh too. It is the perfect book for the Cohen Family who is struggling to cope with Kirsten’s rehab.

Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare

If you enjoy the romance and sloppiness of the OC you’ll love this book.

This tragic story tells the tale of two young lovers Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet who fall deeply in love but die in tragic circumstances.

The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger

This is another novel for all those OC romantic’s. Here a woman and a man meet in a Chicago library, while Clare clearly knows Henry and has done for ages, Henry doesn't have a clue who she is. This is because he has been traveling from his future to her past, and in that past they fell in love, so he hasn't yet met her in his own present. Sounds confusing, it is! Once you work out what’s going on, it will probably be one of the best books you’ve read in a long while.
