2001 Opening the Book Promotions formed

The team who had created successful national promotions with public subsidy (Open Ticket, The Mind's Eye) proved that the market was now strong enough to sustain promotions without in-built grant-aid support.  Helen Thomas of Book Communications formed a new partnership with Opening the Book to meet the specific needs of public libraries in promotion and display.  

Opening the Book Promotions brought a new sophistication to library promotional print and developed a more flexible and comprehensive approach to stock guidance.  The company also created a new range of book display furniture for libraries to solve the problems of displaying paperbacks face-on.
