1992-1995 Arts Council Library Fund
The Arts Council Library Fund of £50,000 in 1992/3 and £110,000 in 1993/4 provided the incentive needed for chief librarians to invest in literature work and the financial support necessary for keen librarians to turn their ideas into reality. Case studies and a complete list of projects funded appear in Shelf Talk, published in 1996. Many of the projects focused on reading.
